Ecology
Sharing the same environment with other living beings of our planet.... at the ECOCLUB.
The Göksu Delta, a short distance from The Mia Pinepark Holiday Club, is a marshland of international importance under conservation, where various rare species of wildlife find refuge. The Göksu River flows to Mediterranean Sea at a place between Tasucu and Silifke, forming a delta that holds two lagoons namely Paradeniz and Akgöl. These lagoons, drainage canals, swamps and marshland area holds different bird species during migration seasons and makes up the unique breeding area of the Moorhen (Porphyrio porphyrio).
This ecosystem, sheltering many endangered species of birds and reptiles as well as endemic plants is the ideal place to visit for local and foreign travelers and explorers.
The delta where more than 300 kinds of birds can be observed, and the sea turtles come for nesting, is especially convenient for bird-watching trips and photo-safaris.
For those nature-lovers that wish to get to know the delta more closely, the ECOCLUB at the facility provides the necessary items. Equipped with binoculars, guidebooks, still and video cameras the nature-lovers may take trips to the GOKSU DELTA enjoy and record its fascinating sights. In the ECOCLUB you will also find a collection of plants, butterflies, insects, several reptiles and a photo archive of the birds from the region. In addition to these a master piece of the collection is the fish fossil bearing rock that has been found during the construction process of the facility.
Water World
The opportunity to discover tremendous richness of the region
A wide variety of fish species, several kinds of shrimps with different colors, an octopus that is domesticated to divers, and sea turtles (Chelonia midas) are just a few to be mentioned.
Besides all, the region also holds two out of 37 of the breeding caverns of the Monk Seal which is an endangered mammal of the Mediterranean Sea. In order not to disturb these delicate and sensitive mammals instead of visiting them you can sea their photographs taken under water.
Mini Zoo
At Mia Pinepark there is a small refuge where the goats, gazelles, rabbits, ducks, Kamerun sheeps are living in peace. Leading visitors of the mini zoo are children, of course.
While you are walking around on the 160 square meter green area in Pinepark, you can meet hens, ducks, turtles and all kinds of birds.
Doggy Club
At Mia Pinepark we have also considered families wanting to travel with their dogs. We appreciate that dogs are important members of the families. At the doggy club they are given a comfortable place, and our experienced staff take good care of them.
The Nature
At Mia Pinepark you can walk around the fruit gardens where pomegranates, lemons, oranges and apricots are grown fully naturally. You can taste the naturally grown vegetables on your meals, you can swim or practice diving in the untouched beaches.
You can experience and can be full of gratitude for nature's blessings in its most natural state on your Holiday...
